As we are soon to wrap up 2022 we might be feeling a bit parched, both professionally and personally, after a year of change and challenge. On the 3rd Sunday of Advent we read from Isaiah: “For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water.” And later during Jesus’ ministry, we read: “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” Picture is of Ein Gedi, Israel and is a literal “stream in the desert”. It’s where David often sought refuge and refreshment during the challenges he faced early in his life. This Advent Season, hoping we all tap into His refreshment as we prepare to enter 2023.
