Eighth Sunday after Pentecost

“Why are things working out this way?" "This isn't the path I planned!” "I don't even have a path in life - I'm lost!"

Even with no shortage of self-help, leadership and self-fulfillment apps for your iPhone - those outside of faith in Christ can often feel, and are in fact lost.

Even Christians, from time to time, feel a bit off the path as God's providence unfolds differently than one might have planned or hoped.

On this Eighth Sunday after Pentecost the reading is one from which many have drawn encouragement for 2000 years: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28.

Spend time in God's Word daily, commit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and then walk confidently to new vistas of life in God's loving providence.
