Fifth Sunday After Pentecost

There are days we can all feel like we are pulling a bit of extra weight on the personal and professional fonts - maybe even more than your fair share of what needs to be done in life! On the fifth Sunday after Pentecost one way we are encouraged to build resilience and bring a bit of spring back into our step is to consider asking someone to take over some of the pulling for us. The preeminent partner to pull that extra weight for you is the Lord Jesus Christ! “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

This week why not help a brother or sister pull a bit of that extra weight with which they are struggling; and why not lean on the Lord as He desires to pull that extra weight on your shoulders?
