In the midst of troubling days, maybe in addition to leaning-in (which the world so often extols) we should consider leaning-back which is a more biblical mindset! God anticipated challenging days would come, and therefore invites us to lean-back on Him which is the substance of faith, reliance upon another. And this is just the response God desires of us - leaning back on Him in faith as we roll troubles off our shoulders and on His! On the Fifth Sunday of Easter an oft quoted and favorite verse of many is: “Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in me.” John 14:21
