Second Sunday of Easter

We might, and probably will, encounter doubts in our Christian journey. We then risk becoming troubled yet again as to "Why do I even have these doubts?" And doubts, although seemingly simple, can then lead to terrifying thought patterns! If you have been down that road, or maybe on it right now, maybe you are in good company. The Sunday after Easter often refers to the doubts the Apostles confronted: "But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. And He said to them, 'Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?'" Luke 24:37-38. To allay those doubts Jesus immediately turns to the Word for them: “These are the words which I spoke to you" Luke 24:44. Let us all be reminded to turn to and refocus on His word to allay our doubts, troubles, and fears.
