Tenth Sunday After Pentecost

Do you find yourself rushing from video meeting, to spreadsheet, to email, to video meeting, to “Shoot, is that due today?” back to email, to planning for the upcoming school year, to “Darn, I’m already late for my next video call!” This 10th Sunday after Pentecost we see that Jesus planned, and took time for solitude: “And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray.” Matthew 14:23 In the midst of our stressed culture, make sure to take some time this week to breath, pray, and grab a few moments of solitude. “Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place (state of disconnectedness in the wilderness); and there He prayed.” Mark 1:35
